Some love stories don’t need fanfare, they need intention, timing, and a place that feels quietly extraordinary. Edwin and Jennifer’s Big Island elopement at Anaehoʻomalu Bay was exactly that: intimate, meaningful, and deeply personal in the most beautiful way. After being together since 2009, their decision to elope wasn’t about skipping tradition. It was about choosing them.
They met at their very first job, long before life and careers unfolded the way they would. Now both working at Adobe, they’ve built a steady, joyful life together, one that includes a very beloved fur son, Nigel the French Bulldog, who is, by all accounts, an absolute ham. Edwin, originally from Lithuania, brings his love for cars, UFC, and an impressive enthusiasm for sushi (Hawaii was clearly a strategic choice), while Jennifer balances that energy with her love of reading, writing, and the promise of slow, peaceful days. We were honored to coordinate a beautiful and simple beach ceremony for them. Keep reading to see more!
Simple Yet Meaningful
Engaged on Christmas Day in 2022, right in front of Jennifer’s parents’ Christmas tree, the date of 12/22 carries extra meaning, tying their elopement beautifully to the moment they said yes to forever. What began as a plan to change up their usual Christmas routine turned into something far more special: a celebration of their relationship, free from pressure, expectations, and the stress of planning a large wedding.
This was their first time in Hawaii, and Anaehoʻomalu Bay delivered everything they hoped for. A sweeping shoreline, soft light, and an atmosphere that felt calm and grounding. Standing together by the ocean, it was clear that eloping was the perfect choice. No distractions. No performance. Just two people who’ve chosen each other for over a decade, now choosing each other again.
Their newlywed portraits were effortlessly romantic and full of quiet joy. As the light softened over Anaehoʻomalu Bay, Edwin and Jennifer wandered along the shoreline, laughing easily and holding close, completely at ease in the moment. The ocean, the breeze, and the calm rhythm of the island created the perfect backdrop for portraits that felt natural and unforced. It captures not just how beautiful the day was, but how deeply connected they are after all these years together.
Their Big Island elopement was tender, relaxed, and full of heart. It was a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful celebrations are the simplest ones. Congratulations, Edwin and Jennifer, on a beautiful beginning to your next chapter!
