And for Brandon and Catherine, that milestone deserved more than just a nice dinner out. It called for something meaningful and a Big Island vow renewal. Something sun-soaked and heart-forward. Something, naturally, in Kona.

Because when Hawaii is your favorite place and when your love story has already weathered long-distance stretches, built a life, raised a son, and found joy in serving others, renewing your vows here just makes sense.

Brandon and Catherine met in 2008 through an online connection, and from the beginning, it was intentional. It wasn’t a whirlwind or a swipe-right situation. It was a courtship. Long-distance at first, but grounded in purpose and faith. They were married on May 10, 2010, and over the years, they’ve built a life that reflects what they value most: service, health, community, and love.

So when their 15th anniversary rolled around, they knew they wanted to mark it with something that mirrored the heart of their relationship, relaxed, simple, and deeply beautiful.

Built On Love

Cue Royal Kona Resort. With the ocean gently crashing behind them, Catherine walked toward Brandon in a soft white gown, the moment echoing their wedding day in the most graceful, full-circle kind of way. Their son Pearce, now 25, was there alongside other loved ones, watching them reaffirm the promises they made all those years ago.

Our incredible partner Grace Flowers Hawaii went above and beyond with the decor and florals for our styled shoot! The wispy greenery and white blooms circling the sandy altar create a fresh and beachy feel that was so unique! Whether you want a traditional or more contemporary look, our knowledge team will happily work with you both to bring your vision to life! We love to highlight seasonal and tropical blooms. But most of all, we’re always excited to try new ideas to make your wedding unforgettable…

It’s worth noting that the beach ceremony location is next to a public beach and walking path, so while it’s not a high-traffic area, there may be people nearby. Additionally, the beach can get a little windy, but we think it only adds to the romantic atmosphere! Our lovely couple, Shelly and Max, beautifully modeled some stunning floral creations by our creative floral partner, Grace Flowers Hawaii.

Ocean Views

The Fairmont Orchid also offers an oceanfront reception area right on the beach that is simply breathtaking! Imagine exchanging vows with your toes in the sand and celebrating with friends and family amidst stunning ocean views. The oceanfront reception area is located just steps away from the beach ceremony location, making it a seamless transition for you and your guests. Plus, you can dance the night away nearby under the swaying palm trees!

The reception area is spacious enough to accommodate small weddings, offering endless possibilities for decor and layout. Whether you want a beachy bohemian ambiance or more traditional, we can work with you to create the perfect setting. One of the most impressive features of this reception location is the breathtaking view of the ocean that guests can enjoy while seated at their tables. There’s nothing more romantic than a reception with an ocean view!

Our talented creative team took advantage of the tropical setting and incorporated vibrant, tropical colors into the decor, adding to the seaside marine feel of our styled shoot. The pink plumeria table runner was especially stunning against the natural blues and greens of the ocean view. As you can see, there are endless possibilities at this location, whatever your style and vision! One thing is for sure, it’s the perfect setting for a picture-perfect wedding reception that you and your guests will never forget…

Loving what you see? We currently offer package pricing for weddings from Monday to Thursday and within 90 days. However, we also accommodate bookings for further out dates and weekends with an additional site fee and a food and beverage minimum with the resort. This allows our clients to have more flexibility when planning their special day…after all, we’re all for stress-free planning!

In addition to the Hawaii wedding packages pricing, it’s important to note that a three-night stay is required for the wedding couple, but the price is not included in the package. This is an opportunity for the couple to enjoy the luxurious amenities and stunning views that the Fairmont Orchid has to offer and to fully immerse themselves in the Hawaiian experience!

After your ceremony, you can take advantage of all the natural splendor around the property! One of the most stunning features of this location is the waterfall. Set amidst lush greenery, the waterfall provides a natural and romantic backdrop for stunning photos. Nohea Point is our personal favorite, and it features a thatched gazebo surrounded by lush foliage overlooking the Pacific blue ocean, a private lagoon, and sparkling Kailua Bay. It is totally separated from the main hotel walkways and protected by a gate for privacy. So you won’t have anyone besides your loved ones walking near your ceremony! The thatched hut truly gives off tropical vibes and provides an elevated landing to exchange your vows with the ocean in the distance. The towering palm trees add to the tropical magic of the setting. It will make you think, “Wow, we’re actually getting married in Hawaii!” It’s what tropical wedding dreams are made of…

Our amazing floral partner, Grace Flowers Hawaii, brought the wow factor with the vibrant tropical flowers for our styled shoot! We love to feature seasonal and local blooms, like ginger, anthuriums, heliconia, and bird of paradise with tropical greenery like monstera. Grace Flowers didn’t disappoint!

The floral sconces and arch arrangements were the perfect decor to frame the aisle! One of the benefits of using floral sconces to frame the aisle is that they create a stunning focal point that draws the eye toward the altar. They also provide a sense of symmetry and balance to the intimate ceremony space. Moreover, the versatility of this venue makes it ideal for including floral stunners as part of your wedding decor.
